Open Streets Cape Town & the Woodstock Community Outreach Forum (WCOF) invite you to join Talking Streets on Albert Road.
Based on our pending contract with the City of Cape Town, the 2014 programme includes four Open Streets Days in the second half of this year. One of the locations will be Woodstock.
This walk will give us an opportunity to:
- Revisit topics from last Talking Streets Woodstock 2013 (pavements, pedestrian crossings, safe cycling, skateboarding, etc.).
- Update interested parties about NMT plans for Albert Rd.
- Discuss Open Streets in 2014 and the potential for bridging divides in Cape Town.
As we compile the findings of these walks, we will build a better understanding of the challenges faced in different parts of the city. Our aim is to disseminate this information widely, to create greater awareness of how streets can better serve residents and businesses, and to encourage the participation of all who use our streets.
So please join us in an exercise of active learning and an exchange of knowledge and feel free to distribute this widely. If you, or others you know, can't make this event but would like to stay informed of future events and news, please let us know and we will add you to our mailing list.
There is a 20 guest limit; please register early to ensure your spot.
