Open Streets will lead another Talking Streets walk in partnership with the 2014 Muizenberg Festival team. Your are invited to help us explore how streets and local public spaces could provide platforms for creative expression, enable safer and more cohesive communities and contribute to job creation and local economic activity.
Join us as we have an open discussion around the following issues:
How are streets and other public spaces in Muizenberg currently being utilised or under-utilised?
How can public spaces offer long term platforms for the expression of local creativity and opportunities for job creation and local economic activity?
How can streets facilitate connections and initiatives to make Muizenberg a more cohesive and safer community?
What are the opportunities behind the Muizenberg Festival to establish positive changes for the 2014 World Design Capital and beyond?
Suggestions compiled during this walk will be documented and disseminated to create greater awareness of how streets can better serve residents and businesses, and to encourage the participation of all who use our streets.
There is a 25 guest limit; please register to ensure your spot.
